My computer's borked at the moment, but when I get round to fixing it I'm up for some pwn3age

I recently fixed my PC by hoovering the inside and picking all the dust out of heatsinks and fans.

Ahh.... ummm I thought this was all passed so reformatted the server to be used as a workhorse and the workhorse to be run as a media centre - so I'll have to faff about and get the server running again - give me a bit of time chaps and I'll sort it mmkay?
Posted by Darryn.R (Member # 1) on :
I wonder if you could play Unreal on the media centre ? Then you could sit on the couch and be all comfy..
Posted by Waynster (Member # 56) on :
Probably - its still running XP Home to be honest as I have not got around to reinstalling just yet (been too busy libbling).
Its West Ham vs Man City Tonight so I'll be otherwise busy but I will have a go real soon chaps at setting it up.

I found some really cheap 'media center' style software in a folder that came through the door the other day.. (I know you never read them)
Paradigit are selling something called 'Logitech MediaLife Software' (Logitech UltraX media bundle) with a remote control and some form of USB transmitter for the remote for the grand total of 19.95 Euro (reduced from 'allegedly' 100 Euro).
It claims you need a compatible TV card but I reckon that only counts if you want to watch TV through it..

Hmm - might be worth a fiddle. Where's there a paradigit in town - Centuurbaan?
Posted by Darryn.R (Member # 1) on :
Koningsplein if you're going into town for the football.. Scratch that, the offer's not on till the 23rd. (Wednesday)
I'm wondering if I could connect that up to the machine in the office and use the USB key on a long USB extender to put next to the TV to give me access from the relax chairs in the office to watch movies upstairs when we het the B&O TV.
Chate: Man, I went to Zandvoort yesterday, I love the beach.. How was the weekend ? Did you stay at the pub late Friday ? Are you back in the office now ?

Yep stayed for a while, then spent the rest of the weekend at home knackered. I have discovered the joys of a good onion gravy mind and shall maybe be mixing it up with some liver and peas tonight.
I'm working from home again today - woke up trashed again this morning - I am going in tomorrow to see about a more semi-permanent option to working from home while I get this sleeping disorder fixed.
WH are on the telly tonight (BBC) so I'll be catching it from home. Pompey thrashed us saturday 'n all did you see?

No, missed most of the weekend really, not great as it goes - I just wish next door had warned us it was her 18th, then we could have made ourselves vanish for the night, but it was too late to do anything by the time we knew and we had Summer over this weekend so I didn't get anything done at all.

Well played you happy Hammers, not a bad game. Told you Ashton was pure class didn't I I reckon the World Cup is a bit soon for him, despite the fact that he has more talent in his little finger than that gangling tool Crouch has in his entire 6'7" frame, got to have a look in for the Euro qualifiers though..

I might not be able to play Unreal as my bandwidth is swallowed solely by my flatmates boyfriend. No matter how many times I ask to stream downloads a couple at a time, I always find about 5 film downloads and 15 series episodes downloading at a time. Pausing them helps for about 10 minutes until he goes back and puts them back on again. It make smy ping about 800, as oppose to the average ping of 70-90 that everyone else has.
This involves me shooting, running along then finally watching my rockets or machine gun fire catch up with me.
I am looking for a new place this summer. Such is the life of the vagabond.

Yep he did do well - that first goal was class I thought - a great play through the defence and then a class finish. The second was bizarre, with Dailly crocked and Musampa ballsing it up like he did - still bless little Benny for being non selfish and ensuring the second.
I wonder if we really can go all the way this year?

That's very odd. Mr Duck and I were both completely entranced, though I'm not sure why.
Posted by New Way Of Decay (Member # 106) on :
Toilet Duck, are you gonna join us for some Unreal? At some point, I've been playing all week. I'm not ace but I do ok. In particular, housemate number 1 stands behind me and says 'nice headshot' a lot.

I'll come play at some point, when I'm not bogged down in the utter failure of Royal Mail (any more and I should be in rants...). What are your server details? I haven't joined a game before, I usually host when we play lan. I suck, and I've only played BR and CTF, but I guess that just makes me good cannon fodder.

You don't have to be an amazing player to be a good team member.
Posted by Ringo (Member # 47) on :
I'm not playing any team games. Deathmatch only for me.
Posted by Waynster (Member # 56) on :
Ringo pwns everyone at UT. Being his bitch is mandatory.

No he doesn't, because he'd be shit in a team game. This is why he isn't playing.
Posted by Ringo (Member # 47) on :
I just don't see the point in team games. too much running around making sure that the shit members of your team are ok. I just like to kill everything that moves.

Thanks for clearing that up dude, I was worried that it would look like I was being really mean.
