I stepped in some human shit behind a wheelie bin the other night.

eta: actually, even more recently, I was very violently sick, to the point where I thought I would 'do a scanners'.

that image keeps coming back to me. Did it know what it was doing? Had it reached a low, or was it completely unaware? Either way, not nice.

I had a bit of a bad gut after eating a Nando's yesterday and hence caused quite a disturbance in the office bathroom (as our American cousins would call it). After a good quarter of an hour, I rose to find that the water supply had gone wrong again, and a much needed flush was clearly not on the cards. I washed my hands in the kitchen and sloped back to my desk. Even through two fire doors I'm sure I could detect a whiff of my hideous, anally-expelled stench.

It was quite enthusiastic, it didn't seem ashamed.

Yesterday I got a puncture on my way home from work. I took the tyre off when I got home, and when I prized it off the wheelrim, I felt something wet and soft on it. That's when I noticed I had a big smear of dog shit on the tyre and I'd just put my hand in it.

Did it quietly break open and a small, brown Richard the Third emerge?

I'll tell you what I saw. Some people might say what I saw was disgusting. But it wasn't. It was smashing.
I saw a weasel kill a rat. The rat was a right fat bastard and easily as big as the weasel. There was a tustle. Sort of rolling over and over and over. With rat screams. Then the weasel must have done the jugular or whatever and the weasel righted itself and ran off to the bushes with the rat in its teeth. Sort of skipped it did. Beautiful animal as well.

While I was doing the washing up the other day, one of the cats came in through the cat flap, made wierd yowling noises, reversed around the kitchen for a while, threw up on the (v absorbent) doormat, then went out again. Thanks for that.

About ten years ago I saw something really disgusting in a London soup kitchen. At St Martins in the Fields. Everyone was eating their food when this group of young people brought a dog in. Soon after the dog did a big load of shit on the floor. Then one of the youngsters went and got a load of toilet paper and started scouping it up in front of everyone as they were eating their food. While a young woman with them kept shouting at the disgusted onlookers saying: "stop looking at the dog like that".
