At least half of us are Kovacs anyway.

I would like to see Infinite Jones back here. Though I doubt his seedy squat in 's-Hertogenbosch has a connection to the interwebs.

Are you saying you haven't been on the edge of your seat for the last decade, wondering whether he ever finished building that house?

Boy Racer. I miss his passionate defences of the terrible lot of the middle class white male. There's sadly too few people brave enough to speak up against prejudices against this poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged group these days.

Also, Philomel was last seen doing naked performance art in the desert. She may still be there. Hope she's got some Factor 30.

I'm friends with London, Uber and Sidney on FB and insta (as I believe the youth call it). I can sit them down, and tell them gently, with a cup of sweet tea on standby, that TMO is up again. They may not care.
Posted by Samuelnorton (Member # 48) on :
I am friends with a small bunch of TMOers on FB. Miss GL, Pink and Ringo are already here. I could let LowLevel and Victoria know, but I am sure they must have got wind of it by now.

I messaged LowLevel yesterday, although I was slightly cryptic. He's a clever bloke though so I'm sure he figured it out. I also messaged FairyGirl

I messaged Uber and she said that while it was great in its time, it's very unlikely to ever be any good now and that all the best of it is over. No amount of enthusiasm can make it good and to be honest it probably wasn't very good in the first place. Anyway, I said let's not talk about my sexual prowess and what about TMO and the answer was much the same.

It's probably for the best. Kids these days would think an "Uber Trick" was some form of sexual favour performed in a taxi.

Good old Bandy. I remember just after Hudl started, I pitched it as a collaboration solution for the company I had just started working for. They were desperate for this kind of thing, but I didn't realise that my manager was also trying to get a different solution accepted. Anyway, he had me pitch Hudl to the board, and then went through all the reasons why it was all wrong for the company. Then, a bit later he fired me.

I just assumed he was living on his own tropical island which he bought with the millions he made selling MP3 downloads from the back of a van.
Posted by Louche (Member # 450) on :
I thought there might be a reasonable chance he'd just moved into his own shed and never again emerged.

Does he mention he's retweeting from a shed? I want to know.
Posted by Louche (Member # 450) on :
The shed bit is very important.

Has he thought about selling tweets from his van? Could be a money spinner. People who don't have a smartphone, but are interested to know what's going on get a bag of tweets on a topic of their choosing. 30p each or ten for a pound. The kids will love it.

A quid for a JK Rowling. Special Remainer Bag of AC Grayling half price if we come out of the single market. Bargain basement selection, Farage, Piers Morgan, Katie Hopkins.

To be honest, had he just said 'vinyl' and stuck at it, he'd have come out the other end.

I dunno, maybe stick at it. How long before you have a generation of people nostalgically saying "Oh you can't beat that squelchy compressed tone you get from an original MP3 from Napster circa 2003. This modern high def sound is just way too clean, it's got no character at all"

You should do speciality celeb flavored Tweets on Sweets®, featuring the benign outpourings of 160 characters or less on a sugared confectionary with some unorthodox ingredients
The Anna Kendrick Sickly sweet but tastes very funny indeed.
The Kim Kardashian Mostly tasteless and supplied unwrapped
The Stephen Fry Delightful, complex with more than a hint of fruit. Overdoes it on the apple a bit on occasion
The Donald Trump Utterly vile. Ingredients - mostly shit and venom.
The Mariah Carey. All color and a vast array of ingredients yet a lacking in any flavor or actual substance.

We need Niffer to tell us whether tweets are public domain and therefore re-useable or whether you'd have to pay huge copyright fees to JK Rowling for making money from those ones where she burns Piers Morgan.
