I can't remember if that was a pastiche, or a pose, or something meant sincerely that I've now radically changed my mind about. I don't know if I was doing a 'voice', parodying someone else, or just feverish. I don't know.
I like the idea that we can create quotes which are ostensibly "by" kovacs, with the amusing angle that he might not remember well enough to deny having said it. Which brings us to this thread: If you could put words in kovacs's mouth, what would he say?

Sorry. I've taken your incredibly bad thread and made it even worse.

1982 in a swift retreat to the ways of the Jedi: A Graphic Novel
++++++++++++++++++++
Prior to this afternoon, I'd always been tempted to more recent, revisionist perspective. I spent 23 years re-reading chapters that surprised me again with ideas I'd never considered. Anyway, here are some I thought of. A whole bunch of lumps to the throat, a hunk of cheese with baloney on the side, let's go home for some soup.
Only a small, shallow mind would want to reproduce such an interpretations. Just snatches and glimpses, like souvenirs from a holiday or notes from a dream. A modernist rather than postmodernist ideal, or as a lively, community-centred utopia that compares well to the alienated sprawl of LA. Or not? Most surprising of all is that this manages to be not just startlingly bleak but more juvenile and childish than most every other "challenging" art. Any road, I shall be rubbing my body accordingly.
The outstanding thing about this kind of "acceptable" violence is spandex. Yet it never got that bad.
Dylatronix is an action-adventure romp in the same genre as The Last Crusade or The Holy Grail. But then, the minister himself is mainly an adventure yarn with clever touches.
The riviera is stunning, more extravagant and ridiculous than St Peter's image however this does not trancend the boundries of the viewer's imagination. This is something I'm inclined to agree with.

Now, that's better: a kind of mutated but just-recognisable cousin to my actual prose. It reads like it came from a machine. Maybe a kovacs prose-generator would be a good idea. I don't know if I'm being self-aggrandising or -deprecating. Or, -parodic.

Not sure about this one. Kovacs has been a bit noncey, but never racist.

There was a time when Black Mask and kovacs teamed up to splatter a microscopic contender of the Chenolian variety.
So what has happened to this unholy team that one of these sad spawns of common pond-miasma thinks that he may be superior to the other?

Come back, Turtle. I was looking forward to your return... Me as Burt Reynolds, kovacs as Sally Field, you as Jackie Gleason.
