In case you haven't seen it yet:

The Citreon Dancing Transformer

I love this Advert, it’s exactly as I imagined transformers to look like if they were real

(not that I’m saying they aren’t real)

If I buy one and it doesn't turn into a robot on demand, do I get a refund?

Why do people think he is breakdancing though? Because he is listening to 'funky' break style music?

Because they're blind, or idiots, or blind idiots. [Mad]

Its Les Rythyms Digitales - Jaques Your Body, doncha know.

I'll never know if damo was mad at the fact it was described as breakin' or that I didn't know who it was.

Because that's what he told everyone. We told him it wasn't, but he wouldn't have it. Now he's made a right twat of himself.

I'll see your simile

and raise you one eyebrow.

i'm not mad at you nwod.

i'm mad at the advert and people thinking its gr9.

that and citroen was spelt rong.

Did any of the transformers turn into a Citroen?

It probably would have been one of those crap £1.99 ones that poor kids had and which we about 80 times smaller than the rest of the toys, and called something like Juice Breaker or something.

I always preferred those little animals in armour that were either wood, fire, rock or water or something.

Rock lords or something weren't they?

I don't think there was ever a Citroen transformer. If there was, he'd almost certainly have been mates with Nissan Sunnytron

Nah, they were the robot things that transformed into rocks (Christ, why did that seem okay when I was a kid?). I think Benny's talking about the things that had little patches on their chest that you rubbed and either a fire, water or wood symbol appeared, you were supposed to basically play "Paper, Scissors, Stone" with them. They might have been called Elementals or some shit but Googling that's getting me nowhere.

You fucking rets, they were 'Battle Beasts' (battle beasts, they battled for-fun)

Mind you battlin' for fun has been a TMO attribute for some time so why you guys don't know astounds. [Mad]

Posted by Benny the Ball (Member # 694) on :

Ah yes, Battle Beasts. Funnily enough I mentioned this to someone else, and they instantly said 'Elemantals'.

Just looked at a site for them, they look shit.

Lol. I had one of those. The design of the robot was actually pretty good, but when it was 'transformed', it was - you know - just a rock.

I think Ringo's right about * Rock Lords.

"Brave and wise with a awesome physique, Boulder leads the defense of Quartex against Magmar's villianous plots. Boulder has rallied the remaining free kingdoms of the planet under his leadership. His fiery temper strikes fear into friend and foe alike. In the heart of the battle, he scatters enemies with stungun blasts and zaps them with his Power Sword."
If he's a robot that transforms into a rock, then what does he do with his "Power Sword"? I mean it would be a bit suspicious to see a pile of rubble with numerous discarded weapons strewn alongside.

Is Jumble Sale Season 2004 over? [Frown]

This is the one I had. It looks a lot lamer than I remember it, though. It's quite clear now why I chose not to pursue this avenue of merchandise, and now I don't feel so bad about my mum giving all this shit to Barnardos.

Christ. That's even sadder than Terry's frog.

His favorite activity is combat. Weilding his Ax-Rifle with deadly accuracy, he assaults foes scattering rocks and pebbles as he goes

Granite (Good)
-Silvery: A tough-as-nails composition that reflects his strength and determination.
-Weapon: -T-Gun

"A happy-go-lucky rock with a ready laugh, Granite is truly a "genital giant". But put him in the thick of the fight and he's one of the most fearsome combanatns on the battlefield.
Despite its ordinary appearance, the T-Gun's shiny bullets will pierce anything and that's enough to send any evil rock running for cover!"

Thorn's was an evil.

quote:
Tombstone (Evil)
-Quartz: Flashes with a wicked glint as he goes about his deadly chores.
-Weapon: -The Reaper

"Tombstone lives to fight. This evil warrior cares about only one thing: destrying good rocks! A good battle will make his day as he rushes heedlessly at the enemy swinging The Reaper wildly and laughing at his foes as they retreat from the twirling scythe.

These are quite excellent! I had a Transformer (I think it transformed into a triceratops) but now I feel I missed out. Then again, they turn into rocks. What the hell's that about? Is it a defence mechanism? Can they communicate as rocks or only as robots? How do they know to change back? I think I may be reading too much into this.

Do you think he's a "genital giant"?

That'll be Slag then. Christ, I knew that without even having to Google it. For shame.

Posted by philomel (Member # 586) on :

I just discovered that, through the power of google. I am now mildly disillusioned.

Looked good, though!

In later episodes Grimlock changed his name to Chav and he and Slag set up home together, siring twelve rat-bots that stole for them inbetween the gyro arriving on a thursday.

The REAL dancing Transformer

I quite enjoyed that, even if it did make out Soundwave to be not much better at breakin than the Citroen.

Did a happy-cry at the Tech-spec in the background.

Wow, play that through a decent stereo, the bassline is terrifying!

Posted by H1ppychick (Member # 529) on :

That was sweet. It gets good at around the 2:45 mark.
