Aye - every year he complains that the Christmas meat is too near his birthday, so it never happens, because Benway's birthday is near christmas, and consequently any christmas meat of any kind is going to happen near his birthday, which is always at christmas and will therefore always be near a christmas meat, and I think benway just brings this up each year because he gets a kick out of having the power to cancel everyone's fun.
Oh 'Happy' Birthday, Ralph. Is it bad form to wish a depressive a happy birthday? Like going up to a dude in a wheelchair and saying 'Well, at least you've managed to stand on your own two feet' or something.

Thank you all for the good wishes. I'm 44 today.
No birthday fun I'm afraid to report. My family is camping with my in-laws, and I've had a lot to do today.
4:30 - woke up
4:45 - cleaned house because someone from the insurance company is coming out to do some testing of our old house for mold in the walls. If the levels are high enough, we'll get some money!
7:00 - coffee
7:15 - go and pick up rental van
8:00 - drive to Springfield to buy windows
9:30 - drive to Chicopee to buy windows
10:30 - head home
11:30 - drive to neighbors house with brian to unload the windows until we're ready to install them
12:30 - return van
1:30 - online banking and posting on tmo
2:00 - work with Brian until insurance man arrives
The remainder of the day will be spent either working on the new house, cutting wood, and eating a Philly cheesesteak my sister in-law brought me for my birthday. Possibly a quick wank or two before bed.
There was a contest here in the states to see which of the many Springfields would get to host the movie premier. Springfield, MA was in the running, and I thought we had a pretty good shot, but the winner was Springfield, Vermont, with a population of somewhere around 9,000.
