I hate Valentine's Day. Stupid commercialised crap

This never, ever happens to me. It's like everyone I ever knew in the past disappears into a gigantic black hole, lending weight to the idea that there are only actually 12 people in the world.

Just got another automated text from the school, saying that my child Kayleigh Davidson is yet again absent from registration today. I thought she'd got over all this business last year. I'd really hoped for better things from Kayleigh in 2009, but she just continues to let me down. I'm worried that she might be drinking or taking drugs, and possibly galavanting about with boys.
living Golf later, good weather on the cards always good for my state of mind. Feeling the need to do something exciting - too much sitting around staring at monitors and Televisions. Need to do something with this hair, tho not sure what, fancy going short.
wearing jeans and tshirt, same as every friday. I busted out the air max 95s today though, for an exciting change.
watching The 'uncut' Urotsukidoji OVAs, and going back over season two of Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job. Urotsukidoji goes on for a long fucking time, but having finally seen the complete first part, I now understand why it's such a famous series. However pervy it is, it's also undeniably nightmarish and intense, with a completely unique atmosphere. I'm half way through third part, and it's waning.
I saw a good film the other night - Brain Damage by Frank Henenlotter, the dude who made Basket Case. It's like a scummier version of naked lunch, and instead of a mugwump / typewriter, the dude is always talking to this grey turd like thing that talks like a 50s crooner
Not seen it before, so I was very pleasantly surprised.
playing Lost Odyssey. 20 hours into that now, and I'm enjoying it. Great costumes and location design, and an engaging skill system. I will see that one through to the end. I started Stranglehold and Dead Space, but didn't get very far. I will return. I am most looking forward to the XBLA HD release of Outrun 2006, coming in a fortnight.
eating I had a bowl of something called Dorset Cereal. Lunch, I don't know yet. Probably chicken, but also craving boiled eggs.
listening I'm Coast to Coast Like Space Ghost, digging the sounds I love the most, like stereo, I'm on both channels, and I'm catching those beats as if my name was panels.
What I mean is, The Antidotes are bringing that LA sound, and Tha Connection are delivering rhymes from long island. I think that some people here would like Tha Connection. Very jazzy, almost opiate beats with some unhurried spitting.
life Just kind of happened around me this week. Haven't paid much attention. Looking at booking a holiday though, finally. One that doesn't come on the back of a work trip. Louise is talking about Lisbon.

It's no wonder your daughter is in trouble if you're sending her off to school in Glasgow. It's a bit of disgrace to send her away during term time and just expecting her to behave.

oh right, right. I wasn't sure. I was thinking maybe we could go to clapham for an afternoon, you know, see if it's still as full as wankers as it has been for the last ten years, but she's all like no, no you motherfucker, we're going on a proper holiday so I'm like, aight aight, chill bitch, chill the fuck down, we can go and stay with my peoples, you know, kick it back in kent, but she's now all in my grill talking about this lisbon bullshit. Man, alls i know about lisbon is they got that nandos shit out there.

good hip hop in the Marseille banlieue . I should go along to the projects, start laying down some beatboxing or something, and this spontaneous urban party would just spring up around me. Disaffected second generation algerians spinning on their heads and asking me to join their breaking crew.

oh god I heard some amazing human beat boxing the other night on Radio One, this guy making up tracks on the fly with this special mic thing. it was with Colin Murray, anyone else hear it?

Might happen. I found Marseille to be a very friendly place. Very African. If you do go, I can highly recommend a place on the coast called Billy Le Grill. It's more like hanging out and eating with a massive extended Algerian family than dining at a restaurant. We ended up going there about half a dozen times.
