hullo. my friend is off to nashville for the weekend. what stuff is there to do that you'd recommend, particularly for friday night. she likes music and americana.

go "down town" drink on broadway (tootsies orchid lounge and roberts are my favourites). avoid demonbreun street.


do not go to the loveless cafe, it's miles away and over-rated. see who's playing at the family wash in east nashville. hang out in east nashville.

eat prince's hot chicken (north nashville way). go to east side fish for the crunkest fish in nashville. (gallatin pike way). samurai sushi on church street is the bomb.

anything else i think of between now and then, i'll let you know.

There's a place about 900 miles northeast of Nashville called New York. I hear it's pretty good...

(We just got back from Nashville, as it happens, on our Eastern US Road Trip™ - both Rooster and I liked it despite our shared disdain for country music.)
