2008 - thumbs up, birth of son, moved to LA, got a job that pays great (boss is a knob, but can't have everything) new place, new car, son crawls, sleeps well, is fun. Work is a ten minute cycle from new apartment.
thumbs down - work long and unsocial hours so sometimes don't see son or wife for days on end, have no friends in new place, begin to wonder if I'm the knob and do I like myself. Become obsessed with heroclix and spend too much money on them via ebay for something to do.

Looking forward to the new year, if the bastard actors don't strike then will be working for a nice solid chunk and will be able to afford a nice summer break with the family. Only 3 months until Felix's first birthday!

I saw Stealygate the other day, which was pretty cool. I didn't say Hi though. That may well be a highlight.

nothing really happened in '08. I went to work and came home again, and did the same the following day.

I imagine that '09 will be around the same.

One of the Masketeers has a zombie Captain America that regularly sells for >£80. I've hidden it. They treat their toys like shit.

2008 was pretty decent, really. Job ticking along, new house, new car, plenty of trips across the Channel.

2009 has started well with a pay rise, and hopefully will see us holidaying in Tromso and getting close to the North Pole, or if the budget stretches further down the other way to Ushuaia and then Antarctica.

Meanwhile, everyone around us seems to have having babies...

2008 seemed a pretty eventful year for me. Began the year unemployed. Started three new jobs, got married. Imminent fatherhood. Lots of great weekends, strange days, disappointments and suprises. If zoog is even half as eventful - which I suppose it's bound to be, then it should still be quite exciting.

Past tense now.

I still do freelance work for a small number of long-running clients, but after some desperate years scrabbling about for business I bit the bullet and went back to the permie world back in June '07...

Congratulations on your baby news btw, Thorn.
