So far there hasn't been and its cool although a little odd to see a few of you over there.
I just feel that it's fair enough if people want to have a go but it's me that people are pissed off with, not the rest of the other forum so it feels rubbish that they may end up with a trolling problem because of me.
Sorry London, you won't lose people will you, perhaps you'd gain some although I get the impression that's not really what you guys want.

Not everyone on LBL (I guess that's where you got the link to TFT/The friday forums - although I did post it on one of my earliest posts )actually posts on TFT/The friday forums.

The forums started from the *Get Fridays off* e-mail petiton. You may have seen it, it was about five or six years ago.

If Russell/Jonesy starts, I'll be sure to put in a good word for you.

He posted since while my post was still there, so I'm assuming he's seen it and chosen not to comment. If not, then I apologise again.

Honeybaby, I've read the posts, I am aware of this, I am aware of your justifications and explanations. I have to say that like scrawny I'm rather surprised that the forum is taking it so easily but if not and thorn are ok with it then fine. If Mikee is ok with it then fine. It doesn't sit quite right with me for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on at the moment, but I'm not involved so it makes no odds. Also I'm too busy being angry about something else right now to fully engage with this.

Oh loosen up Uber - pretty much all the forumites rip their humour off Lee & Herring/The Simpsons/Red Dwarf anyway so it isn't as if some sort of acme or creative originality is being ripped off here. I propose that tmo is a "creative commons" - thereby retroactively excusing my own theft of jokes by forites for use in 'real life' situations.

Don't worry. I don't think I could ever post there. I just enjoyed re-reading old material in a new setting. Sort of like setting a Shakespeare play in an American high school or something.

That forum seems a bit rubbish though, to be honest. Admittedly, I've only read those pages linked to and no more but that was because I grew bored fairly quickly.

Just a suggestion honeybaby, but if you really wish to be more anonymous online, perhaps you should think about registering on forums with a user name that can't be easily tracked back to other sites.

ETA: and that includes other people's user names.

The reason I find it a bit irritating is that it's hard to be funny. It takes time, and effort, to be funny. Which is why so few people ever manage it. I don't think I've ever been funny, but I look at Mikee, Thorn, Disco, Benway and Jonesy, and I want to be like them. It annoys me a bit that people on another forum think that someone is funy when they're actually not.

Mind you, if I could find an alternative source of funny to bring to TMO I have no doubt I would try...

I still feel weird about it right now. I imagine Honeybaby has lost a lot of face right about now, but at least she came clean. I've stolen jokes from people here, but they usually say:

...so that people know at least the source isn't mine. I'm glad that I know now. But I'm still weirded out. It'll take time, and I think Thorn should be allowed to know what knickers she's wearing. My only concern is a bit of freshmeat. So really, any exposure to steal other forum members would be lovely. TFP read like a proper old school bulleting board. I read on Barbelith someone was saying 'this place is a ghost town' but it's subject to opinion. I'm sorry that I post nonsense prolifically, but that to me is the only solution to keep a board alive. Contribution. Sometimes I get post fear and decide not to post something that would overwise start debate in fear I might get the wrong angle, but maybe that is good. Maybe we should hop over and troll for a bit. In a nice way. In fact, imagine Black Mask having his collar off over there on an unmoderated section. It would be like Danny The Dog on crack cocaine. We're not leaving, oh no. We're going on holiday. I think it makes it fair and square.

Scrawny: you made me feel GREAT for including me in 'top funny lolspeople' Tenner in the post.

Fair point. I was always pretty open about posting on another board. I hope you can take that as an indication that it wasn’t ever intended to be malicious. If it had been I would probably have made more of a point of covering my tracks and being secretive. I didn’t need anonymity over here , as over here I don’t have an ex and well meaning friends reading too much into every post, flippant or not.

Again, fair point. The only defence I have here about whether or not I’m funny is the friends I’ve made from the forums which I now have in real life. I don’t normally have a crib sheet of one liners when we go out. Obviously you guys don’t know that and you only have what’s posted here to go on. Look through my post history. Quite a lot are in jokes but it might be enough to satisfy you that it wasn’t an intentional SWF attempt to steal someone else’s humour.

You know what, yes. I fucked up and I’m not about to start justifying myself because I am aware I was in the wrong and I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have used your user name and I shouldn’t have used threads from here over there.

This is the thing. If you want to out me over there as punishment, then I can’t stop you but the trolling seems a bit unfair on the board members who have nothing to do with being pissed off with me. Why not just join in for a while and see if you like it? I don’t think it needs to be either or does it?

I hate to be the bad guy in the film right, but usually the protocol is to make other people suffer and the guilty party watch on despite their protestations. You did after all create the Decay persona on that board and as I own it's intellectual property (guffaw) it seems only right to do as I see fit.

P.S. Pantie info please.

I just took a look at this forum. I saw no evidence of trolling, but I had a lol when the active user list revealed only two active users; Roy and New Way of Decay.

There is no point in doing that. There was no malice aforethought, no grand master plan. It wasn't done from spite - simply that I wanted anonymity at the time and the things posted were things I thought people would enjoy or find funny. No greater conspiracy than that. For that reason, it's a fair cop, and there is no point in a pouting justification or flouncing.

Indeed, and I think that you're handling it in a very level and mature way. Like you on your other board, I have an ex on this board and well-meaning friends, and a sister and I totally dig the anonymity thing. My ex is NWOD, Mikee, so I was just looking out for his back in a strange kinda protective way. If everyone involved in it is ok then its all sugar, honey, baby.

Anyway, I totally want to rip benway's 'addicted to awesome' rif with disco, sorry, dance margarita, as I thought it was ace, but I don't have anywhere to take it. [Frown]
