I feel greleven right now. All day it's been cloudy and grim, but now there is a small hole in the cloud, pouring cliched bright yellow rays of sunshine across the desk from which I'm about to step away...

Have you ever stared into the sun and seen the way that after a while it starts to look like a black circle with a spinning white halo? Trippy.

With me it'd turn into a blue cylinder. Stared into the Sun a lot in my youth. Of course I did spend much of my youth in the Fens.

I am slightly depressed as evidenced by pointless wigout on other thread. [Frown]

Joy of joys - seeing my nephew this weekend, who is currently in that nanosecond of child wonder before he turns into a hellish hellbeast.

And - I think we were going to try and come along tomorrow night, as Uber informs me she will be Djing in many guises. Where is it?

Cool - we may be fresh from Oxford and covered in sick, but we will definitely try and make it.

I promise, I will be less of a psycho by then. *buys Amp some Jack Daniels*

Hopefully, Tuesday latest (if we're successful), then a minor breather of about a day, then headlong into the next phase. By Tuesday I will have worked 27 days out of the last 30.

On the plus side, as a contractor, I will be well minted as a result. Perhaps Lucid will want to talk to me.

You see ralph. If you'd have used maths you'd have got to the correct answer there ralph. I'm taking the tube home to do nothing but boring shit. I'll probably see you guys here, except I'll be armed with drunk.

If talking is the same as submerging you in a pool with the same gusto as the inquisition duck a witch, then yes.

If you get home quickly enough, I could drink vicariously through you. I've really been fighting the urge to have a drink a lot the last few days.

You know you'll burn your retinas out, MF...

edit: I should say that I have tried staring at the sun...but it usualy is how you say...trippy, with burned retinas and bumping into things b/c of blindness.

Weekend plans:

Tonight: BattleStar Galactica season 3 starts. So, staying in and watching it.

Tomorrow: Visiting a friend to pick up something for next weekends escapade to Six Flags Fright Fest. Friends bday drinks. Boxing match on hbo with this giant Russian who is seriously like 7'4" tall and the guy he;s fighting isn't. Should be interesting.

Sunday: No plans.

Don't bother. I'm drinking because I'm trying to fill a hole. I'll snap out of it sooner rather than later hopefully.

And a wife and kids and a FOREST! You don't need booze too man.

I, on the other hand. Do. Mmm. *guzzles wine*.

It's not a matter of need. It's an addiction.

This wine you're guzzling...what kind is it? Are you feeling all warm and happy now?

It's a claret from Waitrose. I've only had about half a glass - Lisa and I are side-by-side on our respective workstations, sipping away and chatting. It feels ok but I haven't left the house all day (I work from home) so each sip is tinged with guilt. But I'm going to do two classes at the gym tomorrow morning, so that makes it ok, right?

I've suffered a great deal today at the hands of booze, but now I could certainly polish off a few cold ones.

Guilty about not leaving the house and therefore doing no exercise and still drinking anyway! It's bad.

Don't worry London. I've been working from home all day and I'm on my second beer with a curry on order (plus two starters to myself). I've left the house once today, to pop around the corner. I drove because the hangover Benway put in my head wouldn't allow me to walk the 400 yards. So, you're not alone.

I did go to the gym three times last week, though.

I couldn't go into work today. Woke up around 11, lurched down the Blackstock Road to put credit on my electricity key. Ate a turkish pizza. Came home, threw up, and haven't moved since.

So did I! Go to the gym! Three times this week! I am loving the gym at the moment. I'm going to do a double class tomorrow. But now we're going to have macaroni cheese.

You saw nothing.

So if you're not going to fill the hole with booze, what are you going to do instead?
