I mean, look at it this way... $100,000 is what? £50k, which is a good salary, no doubt about it. But if you're in that job market... I dunno. It's surely not going to be so far ahead of anything else in the sector. So you'd probably be looking at like £40,000 for a realistic salary in the same sector. So essentially, you're selling out your principles for £10k. PLus surely you would have thought there would be some quality of life benefit to moving, otherwise you wouldn't have considered moving in the first place. So it becomes even more absurd to suddenly change your mind back just because you're earning a bit more.

Every parent I've ever met claims their child broke the average for reading/talking/toilet training etc. Isn't it time they recalculated the averages?
By the way, apparently the Australians are the worst per head for polluterating the planet.

Well 3 days to go, I've still got no bike and arctic weather is forecast. Still, I will soldier on, and will not change my mind. The keys will be handed over on the 25th whether I've got a bike or not. If I have to taxi it in for two days, that's as may be, the point is that it will be hard and i need to see if I can deal with it.

Going back to stupidyanks. Some American tourists got on the Bakerloo line the other day, and were pleased to see that the map on the carriage wall (ie of just Bakerloo line destinations) was much less complicated than "the big one" (ie the map of all tube lines), and stated that they would just use that one in future. They were really fat and loud as well.

Arctic weather because the drop in temperature is a result of wind from the arctic in the North, rather than the air we've been getting from the south/south-west for the past month or so.
