Twitter has ruined Stephen Fry. He used to blog, write novels, act and philosophise, but now all he does is tweet like an idiot. On a fucking macbook, I assume.

Yes I did, but you're right to question some of them - I couldn't decide myself. I don't think the "chicks do mathematics" one is an April Fool afterall and possibly the "hot climate" one too. But the tea one - I think it is as the agency named is the FOA, could be "First Of April"? No?
I don't know, maybe it was only the iToaster which was a genuine fake on the BBC. But hey, it kept me from doing real work for an hour this morning when I was asked to compile a list for our Intranet.

Or maybe I'm underestimating the resourcefulness of the BBC here and in the forties they actually went to the trouble of starting an active international organisation with the twin aims of eliminating world hunger and being used as an April Fool gag fifty years down the line.

I think that the BBC site and some newspapers have started keeping a few daft-sounding but true stories for publication on 1 April. I'm pretty sure there were a couple of bizarre ones last year too. It's all very confusing for those of us that are full-time fools, I must say.

I'm sure they do, if only to make this page of potential-april-fools-but-actually-true-stories. Mind you, those are pretty lame, don't think they'd catch too many people out.

it's hard to reconcile the keef who posted up those links and the subsequent statements with the keef who's managed to get that big ass house in the countryside.
