Not sure where to post this really but here seems as good as anywhere. I think Johnno's presence will be sorely missed, I've lost count of the number of times I've seen him give the side a good talking to and restore order when those around him start to crumble. As far as the job of being captain of a side goes I think he's pretty much the standard against which all future captains will be measured, huge in both physical stature and presence, blessed with a stubborn refusal to admit defeat, epitomised by last years last gasp friendly defeat of the Aussies, and a genuine sportsman, always guarding his tongue when interviewed after a game and always willing to praise the opposition even in rare defeat. I only hope we don't struggle too much without him in the coming 6 Nations.

He still sticks his head round the door. Most recently on Niffer's thread about things to do in Spain (go to a mosque, eat a meal).
