Sometimes you'll see a new invention or product and you'll think "That seems so simple and so amazing that surely it should have been invented millenia ago".
Well, another of those ideas has finally been realised and you will all rejoice.

Ah yes, the Tesla. The car mags have been raving about it for months... based on a Lotus but with about a half ton of extra battery mass. But still, it makes the electric car attractive. Give me an electric car with reasonable performance and a decent range (sorry, <100 miles per 24 charge doesn't cut it) and I might even leave the ranks of petroleum-burners.
