quote:Under Government plans to monitor internet traffic, raw data would be collected and stored by the black boxes before being transferred to a giant central database.
The vision was outlined at a meeting between officials from the Home Office and Internet Service Providers earlier this week.
It is further evidence of the Government's desire to have the capability to vet every telephone call, email and internet visit made in the UK, which has already provoked an outcry.
I find this plan pretty creepy. They say the captured data will be used to fight 'serious crime and terrorism', and while that might be the case at first, how long will it be before it's used for other purposes? It's easy to fall into conspiracy territory here, but it gives me some cause for concern.

I think the Government should come clean and tell us the truth. So far they've been shockingly reticent about the whole thing, and it smacks of cynical spin and an arrogance of attitude that is typical of this sleazy regime.
Just answer the question, Gordon Brown: is Nick Cave's wife pregnant, or not?
