Yeah, that's true. I used to see this a lot when I was ruling handbag. From what I can tell, all it takes is somebody with a bit of ego and bluster to go in, start making jokes, and demonstrate an intelligence beyond that of kitten and they all flock around them like ***** to a **** magnet. In fact, anything to do with rick is tediously predictable. When I think of his life and his thoughts, and what he says to people during the day, and what he worries about last thing at night before sleep, I feel suffocated by the dull mechanisms that seem to dictate his inner life. The routine nature of his brain is terrifying, it must be like waking death to be trapped within it. Somewhere inside is a bullied schoolboy, projecting his nightmares into the mouth and eyes of rick like a pyschic coma victim. Locked down, chained up, banging his head against the wall. Just thinking about it brings on something like a hallucination of the throat. To have these thoughts, to imagine the choking mundanity of rick's life, It's like trying to eat a brown shag pile carpet. It really is. Stuffing down dry tickling fibres of synthetic brown material. Clogging everything up with it's relentless stuffiness. Forcing it into the stomach with a stick. Bland, tasteless, yet horrific and unstoppable.

It's worrying, I think, because it's a relatively new phenomenum. In Ye Olden Dayes of Handbag there was at the very least a smattering of liberal lefty posters who had the will and ability to take on Snorton, and did so on a regular basis. As the moderation over there has gradually become more erratic and more draconian almost all of these have been banned or have left, meaning that there is almost no-one willing to challenge him, which in turn leads to the less able and more blinkered posters crawling out of the creaking woodwork with that Handbag sidelines cheer of 'here here!
