Fuck yeah.
I thought the last episode was a great departure from all the Dr. loves Billie, Billie loves the Dr. rubbish we've suffered through this season.
From his God complex in New Earth through the Satan Pits Satan monster it's really just been a space tourism trip for big faced Billie. Gay Cybermens, Jolly 50's romps and space lesbians are fine, but the series has been too cheerful, and so as we count the days down to the finale (Army of Ghosts and DOOMSDAY) knowing now for sure that Billie isn't signed for season 3 what can we expect ?
I say the Tardis will eat her, Femke thinks she might leave with a full family if alternate universe Pete turns up with Mickey and of course if he fancies our universe's Jackie...
Theories abound, will they turn up on Tricia ? Or Eastenders ??
Who will he travel with next ? Are the Time Lords really dead ? Why does Tennant have a little tiny peanut for a head ? Is Billie really that wide ?

i've been able to watch a few episodes and think they kick i didn't grow up watching dr who, so this is all a new experience for me the satan pit episode was alright but i prefered queen victoria gets bit by the werewolf the one thing i don't get is everyone obsession with billie piper - her acting is sort of stiff, she isn't (in my opinion) very pretty and when she jumped on david tennant i thought she was going to squish him i love the dry humour though

They do seem very protective of her don't they ?
Even on the big Dr. Who forums, they all say she plays Rose well, I don't see it myself.
I wonder who the next compnaion will be ? Bloody Zoe from Eastenders (Michelle Ryan) seems to be mentioned a lot, and then again we have the wooden acting, not very attractive problem..
Other names in the mix are Freema Agyeman (Corrie) and Nikki Sanderson (Corrie again).
Don't know which one I'd prefer if that's the choice though..

I done posted this on OG several times already because apparently I'm a geek, yes? But if it's Michelle Ryan I will spork out mine eyes, Tennant or no Tennant. I think I can safely say I would hate her more than Piper, and that would be quite an achievement. But yeah: Rose dying is a total fake out, she goes home to the lovely, lovely Jackie and her lovely, lovely breasts (unless she snuffs it in Doomsday which is also a distinct possibility). And maybe PeteFromAlternateEarth as well. She doesn't get eaten by the TARDIS, or if she does she'll be puked out again by the end of Doomsday, there is no way on earth Rose will die for good, Davies loves her character way too much (Fuck knows why). You won't be calling me a geek when it turns out I'm right. I predicted Billie leaving in episode 13 well over a month ago and even OG didn't believe me. So there. I'll go back and be geeky elsewhere now.

I'm struggling not to look.
I'll boil it down for ya: Dirty Den, Jackie Tyler, big ball, Ghosts, Cybermens, Rose humps the Doctor's leg some more, scene deleted because it has Daleks in it (FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE), BBC made us take it down but everyone and their auntie has read it by now, it wasn't really very interesting apart from the big ball, but they mentioned that in Doctor Who Magazine so it's hardly a spoiler, bla bla etc. Rocks fall, Rose dies. Except she doesn't, really.
The Beeb have cancelled the press screening for Doomsday as well, for purposes of hype and gayness. Or something. For purposes of not having to announce the commissioning of series 4, I suspect. I fear Russell may want to bow out to do something a bit more gay. Though I can't think of anything more gay than Doctor Who. I'm starting a petition for Moffat as exec producer as we speak. My geekspeak senses say: MOFFAT FOR TEH WIN!!!!

Billy Piper certainly has his limitations, but I think the Rose character has worked nicely over the two series - particularly as it's offered an emotional back-on-planet-earth backstory to what otherwise might have been a straightforward geekfest. The scenes with Jackie T and the gimpy one from Hustler last week worked really well, mixing genuine sadness with the pretty broad comedy.
I can't understand why people are nominating what would be 'Rose Tyler clones' for the next Doctorwho Asst. - and surely the Doctor would want a change from spunky 20yo 'stenda-girl?
For my money, the best episode was the Marie Antoinette one - the chemistry between Tennant and the actress playing M-A was superb, and it made a refreshing change from the willtheywontthey thing with Rose. I also thought the Cybermen episodes were underrated - particularly the second part... the way the Cybermen were killed was ultra grim.

God, I loved Love & Monsters, I really did. The metaphorical meat, the bucket ex machina, Bliss, the fanwank caused by the paving slab blow job joke, it's all good.

But won't somebody think of the demographics here? Of course it will be a spunky 20yo 'stenda girl. We have fangirl projection to be taking into account. And dads. Don't forget the dads.

<geek voice>It was Madame de Pompadour, you philistine</geek voice> And to be a bit mean to Tennant and Myles there, the chemistry wasn't excactly down to 133t acting skillz ifyouknowwhatImsaying. But, yeah, like I said MOFFAT FOR TEH WIN. His scripts have been superb, "Are you my mummy?" and all that. Girl in the Fireplace has been the highlight of this season, for true. I actually just watched Age of Steel again, and didn't dislike it as much as I did the first few times. But I'm still not overly keen on the Cyberepisodes. Rose's Daddy Issues always ruin a perfectly good story for me.

What is it with you people? It's like you can't understand the appeal of mono mixing, or that Billy Piper isn't a great actress, but good enough to hide that she is in fact a bit of a nob. When she released 'Because we want to' it was enough to have my friends who had worked with her on stage to fume into their real ale, regarding her as the 'fuck-toothed spawn of satan' but you know, they're just jealous.

Sure, she's a tad manly in the face, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It would allow me to explore these homosexual feelings I've been having without actually dealing with man-ass.

I'm not really sure what you just said, but I'm assuming you're disagreeing with me for some reason. I'd like to know how you could reasonably describe her as being unattractive.
The only particularly negative thing about her is the fact she spent an appreciable amount of time bouncing up and down on Chris Evans's cock

I was suprised how attractive ms. Piper was in that Canterbury Tales thing were she fucked a bloke in a recording studio. From the few Dr who episodes I seen though, she's not that great. She would make a decent Blue Peter presenter.
I know that Bille lurks on TMO, so, sorry Billie, but I think you know it too, in your heart.

I wasn't disagreeing with you. You couldn't understand why there was Piper Animosity and you said you thought she was lovely. Your ex-girlfriend use to steal her lunch for gods sake. You are not the authority figure on whether Billy Piper is lovely or not. If you happen to be, then fucking Man-Brows dude! She needs deforestation! Go back to raising your hand at Gates McFadden you heathen.
