Newsflash from last night: when you're coming down with a cold, two or three 'medicinal' glasses of port will make actually you doubleplus ungood in doublequick time.

Get well soon Ben. By which I mean, don't drink port to combat your illness. Port is distilled Hell. Forget La Fée Verte with her tricksy wormwood footprints, thrumming head magic and memory thievery, it is Fada Port, with his blood red cudgel of astringent doom the drinker should fear. If you've ever wondered how the Portuguese could be wretched enough to invent fado, drink half a bottle of the stuff and retire without water.
Port hangovers are the worst. God only knows how bad they can be when you're full of cold.

I'm actually 26/11, but frankly any attention is good.
Re port. I went on holiday to Portugal this one time, yeah, and every night me and my homies shared a bottle of port, drunk from our tooth mugs. Every morning I thought I was coming down with something, perhaps even as severe as BenFlu. I didn't put two and two together until a few years later. What a spaz.
