After being pregnant for 42 weeks and 3 days, mrs. ralph gave birth to a beautiful little girl on January 5th, 2009, 17 days after her due date. She weighed in at 9 pounds, 5 ounces. Rather small by our standards, but she's perfect in every other way. [Smile]

We thought we spelled our second daughter's name so that the pronunciation was pretty obvious, but no one at her pediatrician's office has been able to get it right once. Even after I explain it to them by comparing what seems to be the difficult part to a common word, they still mess it up. Bastards.

Actually, pronounced that way it's a bit better. Dikhed Rose, sounds like Axl's little sister. Preferable to a seafood sauce, anyway.

The boys love her. And she was born on my oldest sons birthday (January 5) so next year we get to celebrate a 10th and a 1st birthday on the same day.

It pronounced MAH-ree. It's Scottish for Mary or Marie.
