"Hello Son"

 -

And them I did a cry.

We've had a boy, yes TMO towers now smells of freshly pressed baby. Femke's doing well after a long, hard struggle to squeeze the little monkey out, but after nearly eighteen hours of panting, puffing and pushing she gave birth to our new son.

So TMO, allow me to intoduce him to you...

TMO meet Beckett Archer Reeds, Beckett Archer Reeds meet TMO..

One day son, all this will be yours...

 -

Ok, ok... Stop crying now...

His head is a normal shape now, not as stretched and alien looking as it was after all the pushing.
He weighed in at somewhere near the seven poud mark and has all the right number of parts.

What more can I say..? Not much, I need a nap.

I'll post more pictures later if anyone wants to see them..

[edit for way poor UBB and math, 18 hours not 9]

Have a tasteful, unsinister card:

Imagine a grim Victorian haridan clutching a bald baby in a flowing dress with the title "Mamma's Little Boy."

And hello & welcome to baby Becks! Who will of course be the youngest in his year, and will have to rely on fake ID for longer than his mates.

Best of luck with everything...

Edit: cuh, why do the best images never work?

Edit2: Stupid IT man sorted out XP installation, but he's made the @ and " go wrong!

Wow - look what you made! I love new babies with their earnest little faces. Congratulations to you both [Smile]

God though: 18 hours. That's a long time, isn't it. I think I'd last about five minutes and then demand every opiate known to man.

Congratulations!

Perhaps we could try some kind of experiment where he is raised according to the wishes of a sinister unseen committee who send instructioons from all over the world? Come on, it'll be sweet!

Coincidental - ish..

We'd always said we would call him Beckett but then, as new parents do, we went through a whole huge list of names and just couldn't find one we felt fitted.

I really like Archer as a name, and so even though it does make it seem that Femke and I are indeed founder members of the Scott Bakula fan club we went for Beckett Archer.

And of course on the plus side he's also got the initials B.A

He ain't getting on no plane..

Congrats again all three of you - really chuffed for you.

I was lucky enough to meet young Master Reeds last night, and he is indeed a little cracker. All three of them were naturally shattered, and I hope are all now rested.

And that first piccie Daz - thats a corker - who took it?

Kronenbourg would have been a good name. But we're not complaining as we appear to live in the late 1950s and it's against the law to complain here. Ein Prosit!

Congratulations on the birth of Beckett. I'm glad his head's back to normal now.

A friend of mine had a baby a few months back. They are so tiny. And they grow so quickly. They are amazing to be around. Best of luck to both of you in the epic journey of parenthood.

Well done on chile D & F. Especially you Daz, 'cos you made chile despite one baal.

I might come to Hamsterdam to look at it. Would that be allowed? Don't worry: I won't stand too close to him or enter his field of vision, so he won't grow up to be ghei.
