I have to say, I've never met a relaxed nazi. What's wrong with those guys anyway?

Oh for fucks sake ralph. Let's just check with Zygote. Zygote: was your birthday ok at the time? If not I would like you to have enjoyed the days in between, today and perhaps the next couple of days too.

ralph's MySpace

I was just calling you on your posts lack of sincerity. Hoping someone has a good one when the day in question was two fucking days ago smacks of insincerity.

That's not my myspace page by the way.

I think you owe Zygote an apology, Nwad.

Yeah pretty much. Had to be up early for a snooker tournament, but I had many pints bought for me in my local that night. The fuckers then decided it would be 'hilarious' to submit my name forward for karaoke. Luckily they selected House Of The Rising Sun by The Animals; a song that I easily pulled off. They soon regretted their little prank as they were called forward to sing Take That's Could This Be Magic.... *cackle*

I doubt it very much.

I bought an electric blanket earlier. Does anybody else own one?

Posted by Benny the Ball (Member # 694) on :

My old (not age, time) work mentor has one, so that when he sits behind his desk all day in the cold, he can wrap up in it. My nan used to have one, and when I stayed with her I was always convinced that I'd wet the bed and electricute everyone ever.

Posted by Zygote (Member # 883) on :

It's not really a sign of 'oldness' is it? I mean, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to get into a nice, warm bed at night. It's merely a comfort issue. I can't stand being cold - it is uncouth.

Posted by ralph (Member # 773) on :

Young people can usually generate their own warmth. Just how old did you become on Sunday, Zygote?

Posted by Benny the Ball (Member # 694) on :

I'm a naturally warm person - and heat up the bed for both myself and Mrs The Ball - but the downside is that if you wake me up when I'm dreaming, I tend to be drenched in sweat.

Twenty nine.

Yes, I know. Unfortunately there is no central heating in this house. Just two gas fires downstairs and two electric fan heaters. My bedroom sometimes gets very cold at night and I try not to use the fan heaters in my room as they are 2000 watts. They inflict serious damage onto the electricity bill. An electric blanket does not.

No central heating?!? What sort of savage land do you live in? O wait. I forgot: Manchester.

Posted by Benny the Ball (Member # 694) on :

is your toilet outside?

Posted by Zygote (Member # 883) on :

I should have seen this coming. I only moved here recently, after selling my house and ploughing the profit elsewhere. The rent I've agreed here is minimal, which is ideal for me as I build up my 'pot' for buying a new house later this year, when interest rates will have seen prices erode from their current levels.

And yes, there is indeed a toilet outside. There is also one indoors.

It certainly has. I use it as a short-cut to the local pub.

I have central heating, double glazing and an electric blanket which has separate controls for each side!

[THORA]Lucthurreh![/HIRD]

I don't generate much heat because I don't eat much food.

I do feed meat to my cat, m@~ and she provides enough heat to keep my lap warm, on occasion.

This has pleased me so much. Can you believe I live in a world without central heating? I look forward to going to work just to get warm.

Happy Birthday Zygote. I'm sending wishes live from the London to Brighton line, via mobile wireless technology. What a fucking waste of money. Still, at least I don't need a poo. So, yes, happy, happy birthday.

Thanks for the wishes, belated or not, half-hearted or not. For the record: my electric blanket doesn't work, therefore I had to wear a thick jumper to bed last night. Fucking useless Argos.

Thank you, Black Mask and Sidney.

Sidney - is that the album cover for this 'Zygote'?

The guy on the right looks particularly menacing.

Posted by Sidney (Member # 399) on :

I've no idea, to be honest. I just googled for 'zygote' and then picked a picture that wasn't medically themed!

ETA: I also chose it because it made me do a childo-giggle; 'Wind of Knives' made me think of someone trumping cutlery or something. I know - how sad.

It made me think of hundreds of people being severely lacerated by a tidal wave of razor sharp knives, resulting in a gory mish-mash of mutilated limbs and butchered flesh. A human casserole, of sorts.

Sorry I'm late with this - but Happy Birthday Zygote. I hope you had a good 'un. [Big Grin]

Happy birthday. As it was your birthday you get to make loads of rapey jokes, that's the rule.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, London. Unfortunately I don't do requests, but if the opportunity arises I shall bear this in mind. [Cool]

Edit: I vaguely recalled posting something here in the early hours of Saturday morning. Stupid alcohol.

Hello mate. Seeing as I am currently only able to post at the weekend and you post during the week; it looks like the kiss will have to wait until our paths cross again.

Although I usually avoid the place, I had to go into Leicester in the week and naturally, I thought of you. It was possibly the only positive thought I had all the time I was there and you don't even live there.
