From an e-mail I received

quote:
On January 23rd on BBC4 at 9.45pm, Jim Bob performs ‘Angelstrike!’ with a 23- piece orchestra. Filmed as part of 9 Lessons and Carols for Godless People at HMV Hammersmith Apollo – a non-religious Christmas celebration of comedy, science and music at the Hammersmith Apollo last December.
(Also repeated at 02:50 on Sunday 24th January)

Here's one I just received:

Please find attached our Linguist Pack. Please fill in the three forms and return them to me at your earliest convenience by e-mail or post.

It is vital that you return the forms as it might not be possible for you to accept future translation assignments from us if we do not receive them.

Please ignore this message if you have already returned the signed forms to myself or my colleague Emma. Please ignore this message if you are not a translator but a service provider.

Thank you very much for your time.

Best regards,
Anna

Why do women get their own library?

Good question. I don't know.

Perhaps you should make it part of your job to redress this imbalance. I don't recall hearing of a men's library.

I wonder if Steelgate knows about there being a women's library. He'd be all over that with his PUA skills.

Posted by mart (Member # 32) on :

He'd have to do it very quietly though.

No, I can't see how it could be part of my job to do that. I mean, I don't want to come all over Commander Data and be all "No, I'm not opening the comms channel", but this isn't even anything to do with my company. It'd be like asking Data to push another button on another ship entirely, that was nothing to do with Starfleet. This really should fall to someone at the London Met University.

Also Steelgate wouldn't be allowed in the Women's library, cuz he's not a woman. He could maybe hang around outside, at closing time, but I imagine the competition gets quite heavy. Like on a nature documentary, when all the turtle eggs hatch on the beach at the same time and the birds start swooping in.

It's probably the Feminist Studies library. In which case it would be more like the turtles marching at the birds shouting 'Reclaim the Beach!'

Except it's the birds that'll be marching, eh? lol
