It's officially cold now. This summer I have been mostly wearing t-shirt's green/grey/black/dark green/beige and jeans and trainers.
But now I'm thinking I need warm stuff. I don't have any good warm stuff left, or any semi smart stuff or anything good to wear so I'm planning to do some autumnal shopping soon.
I'm thinking about: Grey shirt, black shirt, Indigo wash jeans, black jeans, Black Coat - possibly some sort of mac. Wearing a shirt under a v neck jumper. wearing a t-shirt under a shirt.
Making my entire wardrobe out of the following colours GREY, BLACK.
Wearing t-shirts without any screen printed logos or designs, just plain t-shirts in grey and black.
GREY AND BLACK GREY AND BLACK.
maybe buying a cardigan.

I'll be doing the same as mask. Might buy a few hoodies and sweaters. Mostly though I'll be wearing the same shit I always do.

Yeah that's my plan. Over the past ten years or so I've easily accumulated enough clothes to see me through the winter. None of them have reached the point of being unwearable, so to buy anymore would just be greedy. I'm not a vain prick, so I don't really spend much on clothes.

I will continue to browse charity shops for good-quality shirts for work. I need a new pair of jeans. I quite fancy buying a new suit, at some point, which will be either a) chino-trouser based (ie cotton-based rather than wool), or b) really thick wool.
I hate suit trousers, see. They're always made of really thin woollen material that's just... well... shit. You look like an immediate cheeser in suit trousers.
I have to wear a suit for when I go out on sales visits, see. Maybe twice a week.
I am wearing a pair of nice heavy Calvin Klein brown cords (TK Maxx, 18 poun) that are brilliant and I would love a suit made out of brown Calvin Klein corduroy.

I pretty much just wear jeans all year round. The jeans and t-shirt combination has been the mainstay of my wardrobe pretty much my whole life and I see no reason to change now. Jeans are robust enough to be warn outdoors in the winter, and a t-shirt can be covered with a jumper or a hoodie for extra warmth. Other than that, a good waterproof jacket with a hood, some decent gloves and a warm hat are enough to see that I survive the winter.
Although I have been comtemplating buying some thermal pants for when i cycle to work. I'm still remembering what it was like when I started cycling and one morning it was well below 0. I couldn't feel my thighs by the time I got in.

I just bought a cardigan coat in Tesco last night, apparently they are 'in'.

My favourite pair of jeans are nine years old. My wife pointed that out the other day as I was dressing for dinner. Is that a bad thing? She wants me to wear new clothes. Something about making an effort blah blah. I can't decide on clothes. I am envious of Tilde and his colour palette.

Don't shave it, D, all that crap about growing old gracefully and accepting thinning on top hair by going all Ross Kemp is rubbish. Comb overs are great.
I'm tempted to move away from my 'juvie Italian trying to dress like dad' look and heading for a 1950's cardigan and tie combo - but scared of looking like some substandard beat combo in the hit parade at present that sound like a cross between Milli Vanilli and Paul Weller.
Lumberjack shirts? Um? Bikini and roller skates? I'm crap at clothes.

I bought a new coat. I had got a hole in my wardrobe that needed to be filled - I didn't have a coat that could be comfortably worn in cool temperatures that was okay for work and not work. the Earhorn coat can get fucking hot on the tube. The thin camoflage mac is not work safe. So I bought this coat:
Hopefully I'll still be wearing it twenty years time.

Fucking hell. Does anyone remember when kovacs chastised ralph and Roy for using the forum as a bib, and mentioning that their banter had forgotten to include any jokes? This is sort of like that only kind of more enervating and shit.

So you see, although it was originally directed at Roy and ralph, it applies equally as well to you and Benway, here and in the music forum. Reading that was what reminded me of kovacs's comment.
