That’s her brother. And actually he was never quite as bad as I made out, although I wouldn’t live with him again because of our differences. I was living with both of them.

This is where I never quite got the concept of Speed Dating. I mean, I hate most women on sight. If I'm forced to spend more than about a day with them then I can usually just about tolerate them by the end of it. Three weeks gives them time to say something a bit funny and I might begrudgingly admit they're probably OK. Six months and I'll definitely get a hard on every time they come into the room. Any longer than that and I'd be like Ringo, suggesting we go dogging together at every opportunity. With Speed Dating I'd just end up hating thirty more women at the end of the evening.
They should have Slow Dating, where you go to the venue and they just lock the doors for several weeks till you discover that you actually quite like one of the people in there. It would make a lot more sense.

ELVIS. when i saw your name my gusset made such a whump that every single crackhead on stokes croft just fell over. it was like a sonic boom happened in my panties ands theres a veritable carpet of substance abuser out there in those mean streets because of it i tell you. tell you what; today, right, its been brilliant- i ate a goats cheese and roast vegetable baguette, i spent three hours sitting reading lesbian porn with an electric fan blowing on my face AND up my skirt and now this. today- officially best day ever.

It's a hot day in Briddle. I would have liked to leap from abuser to abuser in a Roger Moore escaping the crocodiles way. Of course my less than nimble frame would result in a foot going straight through someone's paperthin addict chest cavity. Mother always said it. "Be careful who you stand on Alan, you great clumsy bastard," she'd roar as I made my tremulous way to the sweet counter. And then, with the sweetest of giggles: "Ee don't need more sweets the fat fucker."

I didn't get up to much this weekend. Went carping on Saturday night, then to some slag's house party. Slept all Sunday then went ten-pin bowling. I scored 139 and 140. Should've been more, but the cider started taking effect towards the end. Then I had a nice, cold bottle of wine and played Tiger Woods until 2am. Now I am at work.

I had my dear old Dad visit which was ace - we had our draft day for the fantasy football game we play Saturday so had a few beers - then yesterday Had an excellent Sunday Lunch, then a few beers at my local (though it was full of Stones fans so the music was dull and they smelled of wee), then on to drink one of the most gorgeous white beers I have ever tasted, followed by a curry. And the top guy that he is, I didn't have to put my hand in my pocket once.

I got drunk and locked myself out of the house on Friday night so I had to sleep in the garden, curled up in a ball in shorts and t-shirt, until the wife woke up and opened the door for me.
Very rock and roll - except for the fact that I had actually left my keys in my golf bag, which doesn't sound very rock'n'roll at all.
Unless golf is rock'n'roll these days, I don't know. Any thoughts on that one?

Apart from Friday night, when I went out to the unbeatable bar and grill Reds of Wimbledon with some friends, I spent most of the weekend slaving other a hot word processor.
The real weekend will be happening on Wednesday and Thursday this week, when I go on a 48 hour drinking bringe in London and go to see mighty Industrial-death-metal monster Ministry at the Kentish Town Forum. I am really looking forward to this.

I got laid. And marvelled at the gremlin-like increase in numbers of random Germans in my house. Every time I popped home there were more of them, sometimes asleep, sometimes awake...this morning there were naked ones asleep all over the living room!

I did little of note. Went to the pub a few times, got pretty drunk. Spent most of the weekend with Emma doing very little. Eating bacon sarnies and watching the F1. I taught her how differentials work. She looked disinterested. i didn't care.

I spent Saturday driving home from Cornwall. We went via Dartmoor to make it a more interesting, pleasurable drive. Miniature ponies were there. Also, whilst in Cornwall, I kept seeing posters for a show called something like "The Spirit of 31 Horses. Chimera!" Those posters made me think of Vogon. Once home, we ended the day with a bottle of bolly in a vain attempt to make us feel less miserable about being back home again and having to go back to work.
I spent yesterday rinsing sand out of wetsuits and washing beach towels and holiday clothes. It hasn't stopped raining since we came back. I seem to remember hearing something on Radio 4 this morning whilst still half asleep about how July was the hottest July on record but August looks like being the coolest (as in temperature) August on record. I rolled over and away from the radio and started listening to the rain instead.

Yay for Abby! Was it that man at work? Ringo - she's only feigning indifference. She in fact loves hard-working, well-lubricated shaft mechanisms.

My weekend was large and has only just finished. It involved me wearing a fetching turquoise leotard and being molested by passing old ladies.

Presumably, you experienced much togetherness with the afore-mentioned Germans.

I drove to Tesco and bought a duck. This may seem utterly unremarkable, but it was like emancipation. Oh, and I broke up a bitch fight.

Oh no, work needs to be kept well away from the rest of my life! It wasnt the Germans either, they were odd. And kept leaving the front door open. I think they are going today, to be immediatly replaced by another housemate's religious sister. The living room is like a B&B. It was a friend from Stokey, which is handy.
