Really? Why? Because George the Robot doesn't like the same music as you? I don't get it.
I guess I got carried away and slightly tarred you with the same brush when actually, thinking about it now, I think you were quite encouraging and stuck up for me.
Sorry Thorn my heads a bit all over the place today. I retract that bit about you and apologise...

If I remember rightly....oh it doesn't matter.

I'm trying to think of a way of reviving the S&R forum. I noticed it's been dead for a whole month. Poor S&R forum isn't getting any. I feel sorry for it, in a bizarre way. But everything about TMO today seems to be about poo and zombies, and I did, briefly, consider harnessing that zeitgeist and posting something about sex and poo or sex and zombies or sex and poo and zombies. But my cvreativity and natural repression failed me and I couldn't do it.
All of which is apropos of not much, but no-one seems to care much about mp3 players anymore so I thought I'd share.

Which doesn't help the moribund S&R forum. Someone needs to invent a massively complex, interesting bordering on fetishistic and probably outrage-inspiring sexual issue and then post about it in detail.

Heh, you're really starting to open up aren't you Roy? It's like watching a delicate flower unfurl it's lily soft, lightly veined petals.
Go and post your bondage story in S&R. It needs reviving.

Quickly: People who will listen to other peoples opinions on what you should have on your ipod to be cool, are the same people who a few years back would have been buying CD's and sticking them on their shelves because they are the cool CD's to have in your CD collection.
There's lots of shit music, there's always been lots of shit music. There was loads of shit music when Bowie was in his prime. There is lots of good music. Lastfm.
Cover art on CD's and before that LP's is important. browsing through a collection of CD's is a far more rewarding experience than clicking through a list of names ever will be. I think technology will evolve in some way to reflect this. Meanwhile this may be the answer to your problems http://www.steelskies.com/coverflow/
Internet has made it possible for music to be heard by a mass audience without record deals being signed. Thats got to be a good thing.

I've just got hold of a Buddha Machine, and it's currently kicking out the ambient jams through my stereo. I like it. Like an ipod, only cheaper, and EVEN COOLER. Roll on the digital revolution!

yeah. Hey Roy, why not support the death of music by downloading something from here. It's what I'm doing. Next up: Preparing a glass of Ribena.
