Why doesn't she just emigrate. I am sure very few people have heard about the Soham case in France or other parts of mainland Europe. She is totally stupid to stay in the UK.

Fuck's sake, Harlequin. I live in freaking Africa and I heard about it. I'm pretty sure people on the same continent as England would have heard about it. Anybody who has a television or bothers to read a newspaper would have heard about it. And yes, even in other languages. And who do you propose should pay to send her to another country? And set her up with a job, resident's visa, health insurance, etc?

The Royal We? We: the country? We: the members of TMO?
I'm not sure I like the idea of a TMO assasination squad. I think it'd have to be done in a Last Supper style. I'll be the Jewish guy. Who wants to be Cameron Diaz?

Why should she be executed? She didn't even know that Ian Huntly was guilty when she made her statement to the police. He conned her into believing he was innocent and told her to lie to prevent him being framed by the police. This all came out at the trial.

Why not? Look at the money and time and effort going into protecting her. They should use simple maths, ie if the cost of executing someone is less than the cost of looking after them, it's time to crank up the electric chair. Or the gallows, whichever's cheapest.

Point one, I said 'When it costs more to protect them', which is something completely different, so learn to read the fucking post properly before dishing out your 'muppet' comments, you mong.
Point two, I think you may have TAKEN ME SERIOUSLY which results in the same response as point one: Me calling you a mong. In a nice way

Point one: I just wanted to check that I had read you right; that when it costs more to protect a woman, when all she's actually done is tell a few lies to protect her boyfried than to execute her, wheel out the gallows?
Rather than refuse to protect her and let her go?
Point two: Believe me, with logic like that I could never take you seriously.
Nice vitriol though, could be more original - C+ (CDB)
As for Maxine Carr, I think the point you are making is spot on and the one that is forgotten about. She did not harm those children. She did not lure them in. She did not dispose of their bodies, nor knew where they were disposed. Because she is a woman she will be the subject of even more hate than Huntly, regardless of her actual involvement in the case.
You mong.

By writing something that merited a B- or above you muppet.

Um, I don't think it's got anything to do with her being a woman actually. Anyone who's hounded by the media and portrayed in this way would get treated the same.

Maxine Carr is the perfect tabloid villain: She was involved in a crime in which children died and she's a woman. The general consensus is that whilst men can be evil, women should have a natural mothering instinct that will lead them to never harm a child nor lie for someone who does.

The man she loved tricked her into believing a lie. If you love someone you will believe them, and he took advantage of that fact. Like you have said, the important thing is that she didn’t commit the crime, or knew that Ian Huntley had. I don’t really understand why people don’t see this and therefore wish to harm her. When people found out it Ian Huntley was accused, crowds of people went to his parent’s house to shout abuse and generally cause harm. Why don’t people understand that the people who do the crime are in the wrong and not the people around them? Maxine Carr will never be able to live a normal live because of the small-minded people of Britain who have been coached by the media to hate her. Lying to the police was wrong but I don’t believe she deserves what the rest of life will be like. She thought her boy friend was being wrongly accused of murder so tried to help him. I’m sure there are lots of people who are in love who would have done the same.

Would your dead mong brother happen to also be a paraplegic midget with a wasting disease, on life-support, in a persistent vegetative state, with that AIDS?

No?
Then I think you'll find I win, actually.
Ah, but the difference is, you're lying. Your brother would cost to much to look after so they'd have executed him already.

The thing that pisses me off is that the people who are shouting about how much it will cost to rehouse and protect her are the same people who are out looking for her. Fucking Daily Mail *****.

Who are these people? Where do they find the time..? Are their lives so utterly stress-free that they have to manufacture ire and indignation?
