That's how the Restricted 17+ rating for Team America: World Police is being justified. I'm planning to see this movie this weekend, even though I suspect Rooster isn't as excited as I am. (She: "It sounds stupid.")
On the other hand, it's also being described as "brilliant satire"... which I'm inclined to give credence to, given that it's from the twistedly clear minds of Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
But I was given to wonder: Given the general global sentiment about the U.S., is this movie being promoted outside the U.S.? If so, will it be seen as a cathartic critique (nee Fahrenheit 9/11) or as a disturbing confirmation of the global misdeeds of the Americans?
PF: I'll post my review after I see the movie.
