Sorry about that, we had a massive technical problem yesterday with core dumping into our CGI bin which filled up the disc space so that nobody was able to write to the forum yesterday..

I didn't spot this as I took the afternoon off of work to spend Femke's birthday with her and upstairs in my office it was knocking on 45 degrees and the computers were not happy about running.

Normal service is resumed I hope....

She's warm alright..

It's 30ish round most of the house, but the third floor is mostly glass and turns into an oven in this heat..

She's surrounded by fans and drinking orange juice by the gallon..

I do feel for her, I really do.

The first line of said post was temporarily, tantalisingly visible on active topics yesterday, before it was sucked into the vortex of the core dump. Which sounds to me less like a gigantic poo and more like one of those esoteric things that happen on Star Trek, in between men with big, curvy heads getting laid whilst dressed as Sherlock Holmes. Other posters should note I think I have only ever seen one episode of Star Trek.

Gosh, I was being tantalising yesterday and didn't even realise...

I was verr frustrated at typing a long diatribe and getting a failure message, then typing a second one on another thread and having the same thing happen. Then I tried to email Darryn and even that got bounced back with an error message! So I sulked and didn't post anymore. Glad to see it wasn't a 'let's-block-Turbo' thing but a core dump, whatever that may be.

A core dump is when..err, well, err..

Sabian can probably explain this better than me..

Lets just say, they are big and they fill up all the free space on the TMO account.

Good news is they only seem to happen once a month, so it's a hosting problem and not a TMO problem..
