I think he was probably talking about those universal products which everyone seems to have in their house. Ikea furniture lines are naturally a good example of this. I too have a billy book case. And a Lack coffee table.

Although I think he might have a problem with his e-mail at the moment as he still hasn't sent me the paintballing info.

I've got a Billy Bookcase, too. It's followed me through five different homes. That's value for money, that is. And I only paid for half of it. Score!

I couldn't remember. I wondered whether 'billy' was a range, or a particular product. I'm a bit disappointed now - I thought we were all talking about literally the exact same thing. It doesn't feel as inclusive if all we're talking about "a bookcase from Ikea". It seemed more special that we'd all found the 4ft high bookshelf fitted each of our lives. Not like this. There doesn't seem to be any common ground here at all, other than we all needed something inexpensive to put things on. Really, really disappointed by this turn of events.

Did VP sign a waiver handing her half of the bookcase over to you? Is it possible that at some stage she could turn up in Oxfrod with a chainsaw and take back her half of it?

It was indeed Rose Davis who paid for the other half. It's unlikely that she's going to turn up demanding what's rightfully hers. The last i heard from her was during an email exchange when she mentioned that she and her husband were a good mix because he was messy and she was tidy. I said something along the lines of "That's not quite accurate, is it? You're the most disgustingly messy person I've ever met", and didn't get a reply. So. You know. I won the bookcases. I won the sofa, microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, glasses, and kettle, too, but the only thing that still remains is the Billy Bookcase.

Oh. It was from Freecycle. Nothing about paintballing at all.
There was this though
quote:OFFER: Used Re-Useable Nappies 12 assorted re-useable nappies. Most are 'Kooshies'. I got these from another Greencycler but have not used them. They have obviously been well used and are faded and have a few stains, but life left in them!
I'm not sure people would go and pick up "Used pants, they have a few stains but they're still wearable!" so would people pick up used stained nappies. I'm not sure I would. In fact, I'm sure I wouldn't.

I suppose you don't expect anyone to cack in their pants, but nappies are going to get cacked in anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter so much. Most (all?) of the nappies we have are second hand. Although none of them are stained, it's probably safe to assume they've been cacked in by someone else at some point.
