Yes to what Physic said about the Grub.

I like This place which I am very glad to find out is not a Vodafone shop as I previously thought. Don't think it would be everyones cup of tea mind.

Bowling could be fun mind...

See, as anyone who's seen the contents of my food cupboard will agree, I am not a foodie at all, but still manage to regularly enjoy excellent food out in London with my fussy tastes and child's palate. Imagine what a man with a manly appetite and a copy of a Time Out London Restaurant Guide could find! If your Smoke colleagues are unimaginative, you'll have to seize the initiative and draw up a list of likely candidates in the area where you work and start investigating. Unless you're going with a regular, visiting an unknown restaurant is always a bit of a gamble.

Some more suggestions:

An afternoon luxuriating in the FREE excellence of the Natural History, Science and V & A museums. A few bevvies in one of the quiet old fashioned pubs tucked away in the mews, like the Queens Arms, and then a feast at either Hugo's, the renowned Polish restaurant Wodka, posh French place Racine, or lovely Thai Patara.

Or, a picnic of M&S delicacies on the hill next to the Royal Observatory, admiring the East London skyline. A look round the FREE National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory (inc one of those famous clocks what discovered longitude, various contemporary photography exhibitions, a viking longboat that you can row on, and a Morse telegraph you can send rude messages on) followed by a leisurely evening exploring the beer gardens of Greenwich's many pleasant pubs.

Right, when's the next TMO meat? After my exams please.

--------------------
What I object to is the colour of some of these wheelie bins and where they are left, in some areas outside all week in the front garden.

At the Organic place next to the Picturehouse?

Does this have to be central London or can I controversially exclaim the joys of South East London?

It was on the main road, opposite a t-junction, by a shop that sold a load of touristy crap + weed smoking material. It had a red front. I think it was called San Miguel, although that could be just because I had san miguel.

Come on people! I think this is a really neat question and am interested to read your answers. I liked your getting-sozzled-in-Tokyo one, Benway.

Obvious places to consider:
The Mos Eisley Cantina
The bar in Barfly
The diner in Diner
The cafe in Baghdad Cafe
The club in Repo Man where the Circle Jerks are playing
The club in Gilda
The speakeasy and then the Florida hotel in Some Like It Hot
Er, some other places.

Maybe you had better try starting a new thread, Mart. People seem to have sussed this one as the transparent scam for free bed, board and liquor it so obviously was.

I was working.

I’d heard nothing but bad things about that tapas place Benway, but fair enough.

As far as South London joy goes Veep is right to extol the virtues of a Greenwich Park picnic.
If you were caught out by the weather you could always relocate to the Picturehouse cinema and watch something foreign whilst drinking booze in a nice soft reclining chair.
Following that I’d recommend braving the wilds of Charlton to get completely stuffed on tapas at Time Out Cheap Eats regular Chu & Cho (52 Charlton Church Lane). If you weren’t up for tapas I would also recommend the excellent Thailand (15 Lewisham Way) or Turkish delight Meze Mangal (245 Lewisham Way). Following food I’d make my way to the Greenwich Union pub (56 Royal Hill), where I would enjoy a few pints of Kolsch and some laughing like a twat, before maybe some dancing at dubiously-licensed Deptford hole-in-the-ground Bubblegum.

If I was out in Central London I’d do the gallery thing and/or Borough Market. Then if I hadn't stuffed myself at Borough I’d go for food at either Barry's favourite meat purveyour Bodean’s (10 Poland Street), Jewish diner/ Mediterranean café Gaby’s (30 Charing Cross Road), vast portions of chinese at Wong Kei 41-43 Wardour Street, falafel self service at Maoz (43 Old Compton Street) or maybe tex-mex at La Perla (28 Maiden Lane. Whichever way I went with that I’d probably end up having some cocktails at La Perla’s happy hour, before making my way for some cramped fun at Bradley’s Spanish bar (42-44 Hanway Street) or The Royal George (Goslett Yard, just off 133 Charing Cross Road) followed perhaps by the Other Spanish (back round on Hanway Street), or if non-spanish dancing was on the agenda going on to AKA/The End (18 West Central Street), Fabric (77a Chartehouse Street) or any one of the almost infinite number of other bar/club/whatevers over in Vikram/Wanker’s hair territory.

If money were no object in London I think I’d probably just book into Claridge’s and have massages, afternoon tea, cocktails, dinner at Gordon Ramsey, that sort of thing.

I'm really busy, but I'm not really interested in what I'm doing so I keep getting distracted. I've just read the Nexus War wiki because it was very important that I knew what the brown dot next to characters names was. I've also had a hair cut, had lunch at my parents, met up with my wife at her work, used up all my ap on my Nexus war characters and am about to go shopping for an evening meal.

Somehow I have to get the work I am meant to be working on all day emailed across to the client..,.

Actually I should really get it finished.

go on, what kind of style. I would say that ***** would be quite a high but perfectly straight horizontal front, then a bit choppy and thick at the back. Like Craig had in big brother last year. The ***** where I work all have posh side partings or 'edgy' slightly spiky hair. Either way, all *****. All of them. And me. Me included. We're all *****. Everybody. Utter, utter *****.

Well ok, I had mid length hair in a kind of no particular style but it was getting on my tits blowing around all over the show and taking ages to dry in the morning. So I got it chopped right back. you can see my ears now but they're kind of covered up at the top and I've got a fringe which is about an inch above my eyebrows but, it's kind of all chopped up. The rest of my hair is quite short but long enough to make a bit messy with hair product. I'm actually pleased with it although I realise that my description is poor.

The hairdresser suggested putting a bit of colour in at the top but I didn't think I could pull it off.

Yeah, I was thinking that not.. has got a proper pudding bowl basin cut from his description. A pudding bowl that has been filled with styling jam.

You bastards! It costs me about £30 for cut hair. I've tried to go cheaper and you get a fucking buzzcut, everytime.
