When did Greece go? I wanted to rave on about how they haven't done shit for thousands of years, and yet still give it the big "father's of modern thought/democracy/homo-erotic wrestling" - oh well, take Egypt off for pretty much the same thing, without the actually giving the world anything (don't even try and claim agriculture) but still housing nasty people.

There was a funny bit in John Stewart's America book that said that the prefix's pertaining to "peoples""democratic" and "republic" were a good indication of how horrendous a place actually was - the more prefixes, the worse it was - see People's Democratic Republic of Congo....
