A lie. Read 'Please Kill Me' or just listen to a million other records and you will know that to be a lie. But it doesn't matter as although he never invented the damn thing, he was as much an important member of the whole movement as Sid, Joey, Johnny, Stiv or any of the others that were there then but aren't here now were
