I'm taking a two hour tour of one of the cooler homes in my town:

tonight I am locked out my flat until louise gets back because she took my keys this morning. I've just found out that she won't back until well late, so I'm going to be quaffing pints and playing pool in the Old Street area. The Elbow Rooms probably, paying a billion pounds for a glance at a pool table.

Tonight: 100 hour journey on the NotSoMegabus to Swindon to celebrate granny's eightieth. Celebrating includes lots of being quiet and not swearing. Granny (and probably parents) will try to make me eat so much food I'll be sick. It will last forever and I might have a break down due to the fact I have nothing interesting to tell anyone over 40 years old. i will get to see my Step-Sister though, as she is flying in from Scotland. My Sister is pretty \m/ though, so I'm sure she'll make me do a laugh or two.
Tomorrow: Lunch with my folks and then he is giving me money to go out with my sister for drinks. I don't know why he feels the need to bribe me though. Regardless, it will be a non-stop PR exercise as I say 'I'm playing at pub in Old Town on Thursday....yeah......you should come down.......yeah man........yeah do it' I suppose I had better try to get my friend Debbie to do my hair. I'm a bit worried though as she has hair like this:
and wanted to bleach mine, so I reckon I'll come back to London with some serious fucking Metal hairdo.
Sunday: I travel back up to London to practice with the band. Late practice, but all in all it's pretty exciting to be keeping busy. I've been trying to book a gig in Gloucester too, which is jam packed full of goths and metallers, which you know can't be a bad thing.

Today/tonight: Had EMG test, they think I have a pinched nerve/congenital(i.e.-possible DEFECT) in lower discs/spine. This means I really am broken. They have prescribed 2 vicodin every 4-6 hours and then at night a muscle relaxer. The vicodin doesn't work. I need something stronger, doc still hasn't given me anything stronger. *sigh*
Later: Watch Asian movie with A.
Tomorrow: Car show in next town over. Then I go for my MRI. Must remember to buy acrylic jewelry before hand, so I don't get sucked into magnet and die.
Tomorrow night: Another movie? Why can't this be next w/e when I'll be at the beach???
Sunday: Nothing. It's supposed to be too hot to do anything.
(psst- EMG (nerve tests) hurt like an effing bitch. THey electrocuted my legs and back for over an hour. Electric currents running through body is not fun. The doc must have realized how painful the last current was, b/c he sat there and rubbed my lower back for a good 2 minutes afterwards. The first current he gave me had me jump so high I scared the hell out of him. I probably looked like a flailing fish out of water.

Tionight - drank beer with Darryn , and now he has gone will continue to impress myself now I have my AS/400 - spent all afternoon begging and borrowing favours with people all through amsterdam, however have been real A-Team and solved the issue not by paying 60 quid for a cable, but have solved it by stripping some satellite attaenae cable and poking some copper wires in holes.
Rest of tonight, cary on drinking beer, rest of weekend - getting my career back on track by being a nerd.

My weekend was a bit mental. The bit I was most surprised at was when my step-mum said 'tell Mikee who called you up the other day' and my Dad was like 'ah yes, I got a call from Fuzz Townsend from Pop Will Eat Itself the other day. I'm having this test done Friday afternoon.
ETA: The paperwork that the testing facility sent over described the tests as resulting in mild discomfort. Nowhere in the paperwork does it mention it hurting like an effing bitch.

Does anyone know: when you want to find some cheap dump to live, can you just walk into a few property places and ask for help, or do you have to phone them and make appointments?

If it's a cheap dump you are looking for then don't go to an agency. Agencies usually charge a finders fee and take a cut of the money so you pay a lot more. The best place to find a cheap dump is in Trade-It, or a housing association. The HA (housing association, not hells angels) should at least put you in touch with someone. Cheap dumps are usually advertised in corner shop window ads and benefit from the landlord being more relaxed with paying the rent. Warning: sometimes cheap dumps are filled with scary people.
