No. Well. no - I'm sure it'll be fine. Back at the start of the summer I ordered some book spinners from a German company, for delivery in mainland Europe. A month later I got angry phonecalls from the bookshops saying they hadn't arrived. Chased with the company and got a response from my contact - Sandra -saying "sorry - there was a three week delay because our factory closed for the summer vacation".
This afternoon I got an email from the same woman chasing payment for the spinners and threatening to turn the debt over to a collection agency. I fired off a reply saying "Sorry - there's a delay on payments because our accounts department has gone on holiday for three weeks."

It's not uncommon for factories to close for periods like this. I recall it from my days doing merchandising for John Lewis buying offices.

if you enjoyed that story about my past then you're going to love my newly published autobiography "Wait! I haven't finished yet!". Featuring six pages of exclusive colour photographs from my personal albums, and a blow by blow account of my never-before-discussed trip to France when I was seven, you'd be crazy to miss it. I'm already hard at work on "Hold on! There's more!", the sequel, which should be out in time for xmas.
Now, I wouldn't say we were a fashionable family, but...
