Thank you for your continued interest in the accuracy of SG5 posts. We have checked back into the original wording of the post to see if the meaning was somehow not clear or misleading, and I am pleased to be able to annouce that the original SG5 post was accurately worded and correct in every sense.

The thing that really hacks me off is that, I'm leaving my job in two weeks and hence have nothing to do. Instead of cackling to myself and enjoying it I'm feeling quite annoyed that I'm not getting involved in stuff. I hate myself for feeling this way.

Clerks was pretty lame with its star wars references being partularly stomach churning. The thing about girlfriends cooking food was trite. Although the beserker song was very good.

Why are you leaving your job? What are you going to do? I think you should become a wandering minstrel, the world needs more wandering minstrels.

Why would you be cackling to yourself and enjoying it? You're only leaving work... for more work. Except the difference is that for the past year there's always been an element of hope that there's something better, a light at the end of the tunnel, even if it is an imagined one. "This job is rubbish," you think, "But when I leave it will be Better!" So your next job will be exactly like the current bone, except without that hope. Repeat until retirement, senility and death.

Is this a typo or just an excellent term for the brittle, unyielding drudgery of working life?

Yeah, it's supposed to be 'the current one', but 'bone' actually works OK, as you've pointed out. So I'll leave it.

Does this mean you hate your new job already?
