It means you are not important enough, have not contributed enough (or for long enough) to warrent an actual response from Rick J (Sir Samuel Norton to you, newbie).
The sad thing is, Snorton will read the above with peacock pride, nodding his head in agreement: "Thank the lord someone understands how things work around here."

Is it just me or does Snortona actually appear to be getting slightly more unhinged with every visit? I mean he always had a tendency to dash things out without proofing or actually particularly caring whether his sentences had structure but yesterday he appeared to arrive, sludge a load of totall incomprehensible crap on a few available threads, go hah! tis me and I am, indeed right! then disappear again.

Benway, if you can catch the Kestrel and bring it home with you, that would be great. I want something to kill the pigeons that keep shitting on my wall, the (scraggy) Kestrel wants something to eat and you like blood and murder. Everyone wins.

I can't open any of the window-doors, so I can only watch. I have a feeling if I did open one, the contents of the office would be sucked out and showered across London Bridge train station. Still it was cool to see the bird. It looked pretty urban and knackered, unlike kes there.

Birds of Prey are cool. Anyone remember the children's drama about the peregrine falcon on kids educational programme Look and Read? Skyhunter I think it was called. No? Of course not, you old cnut.
At least, thanks to Thorn's pinpoint deconstruction and destruction of my online 'moves' yesterday, the forum will be spared the wearily formulaic repetition of a scene from Kes in which a lost and beaten Benway discovers a whole new side to his character when he befriends an untamed Happy Monday's dancer whom he feeds with a bag of pills on a string.

Gah. That's a very clever manoeuvre from Jonesy there - getting the entire forum to turn against me. "Nice one Thorn - you've cheated out of Jonesylols. Nice one" FWIW - I have it on good authority that Jonesy was the one sniping at me from behind Benway's login the other week.

Did you know that I had that chance to live with Bez, but I turned it down for fear of going insane? True story. But Jonesy's story would have been better.

I had your back in the "glad you've got AIDS" tussle too. I thought that was a nice touch.
Of course, if It was me sniping from the Benway login I would have accidentally posted under my own login within a couple of potshots.
I always suspected it was you with Benway's login. The attack on yourself being a clever peice of deception.

Actually that's completely true. I was planning to use it as an excuse to just let rip at anyone, whenever I wanted always citing "I have it on good authority..." etc etc.

Cool. And don't get me wrong, Thorn, I like it when you demolish people, using your gift for deconstruction to unpick their posting style until they collapse in a tangled heap. I'm just not man enough to handle it when you do it to me.

I never mean it though! I just find it really hard not to be innappropriately mean just for the sake of it. It's just like - I was running with H1ppychick's joke about it not being 'all that'. I liked your post: it was really... very similar to the scene in Goodfellas. Well done.

Maybe you have finished recording all your memories onto TMO, benway?
yeah, I knew that I'd mentioned that before. I really have recounted every story or non-event in my life. I suppose after 5 years of constant writing, that's not unthinkable. Depressing though.

I think it will be quite useful for us all when we have alzheimers so we can come back here and have a look at our memories preserved on the internet. Providing we can remember what username we were using, of course. And the URL. Hmmm... * sets self mobile phone reminder for 2046: You were Uber Trick.
