It's frustrating knowing that most of these people are probably easily findable on Facebook if only you knew their whole name. But then would you add them, if you knew? Or would it just be awkward and shameful. I mean, they never bothered contacting you, so why assume they want you to get in contact with them?

Much worse than TMO, it's true. I wonder why that was. It's like there's something missing from Seethru. Like... something that wasn't there, but was a major element on TMO, and transformed it from something mundane and shitty to something extraordinary and brilliant. Can't... quite think what that might have been. What's absent from Seethru, but abundant on TMO? It's on the tip of my tongue. You know, alot of people talk about web 'communities' but if you look at it scientifically... if you look at what TMO has and what Seethru didn't have then it comes down to just one thing. One person who was really brilliant - a lot moreso than the rest of you. That's not bragging or arrogance, though. That's cold, hard scientific fact.

Man, that seethru stuff is bad. When I read back through old stuff that I wrote I'm all like "Wow, that's pretty funny and cool", but you guys must be completely ashamed of yourselves.

WEARING - Brown trainers, blue jeans, red old school bournemouth top.
LISTENING - Listened to some great albums when people were round for dinner last night. S*M*A*S*H - Self Abused Muddy Waters - Hard Again (A recommendation by Black Mask. Excellent album) Screaming Trees - Dust They Might be Giants - Flood Kansas - Masque (A recommendation by ralph. Also excellent) Also been listening to the third episode of Controller Throw. It's enjoyable. A bit of an editing problem when going to a track at one stage
READING - I haven't picked up a book for ages. Rubbish.
PLAYING - Trying to play Dragon Age but got to a really hard bit in the DLC at Soldier's Peak and am being stubborn and refusing to turn it down from hard so that's frustrating.
WEEK - Pretty average. Could still go to GREAT or DOG COCK if I find out about whether I got the job that I interviewed for last week.

Did you look at the statue of the Warden outside before you went into the Keep and get the Ancient History quest?

I did indeed! I'm really rubbish at the game though as I haven't played with tactics at all.
I've got alistair as my tank but he just seems to get hit until he dies unless I switch into him and take a health poultice. Is there a way to get him to automatically take them? I'm sure there would be if I bothered to actually look at anything.

If you go to his Combat Tactics menu you can set him to take a poultice when his health drops below a certain level, yes. In fact the Combat Tactics screen gives you a brain-aching level of control over how your characters respond in a given situation. I ignored it completely.

I'll have a look at that. I've taught morrigan how to turn into a bear now so I think I need to start getting her doing that. I probably should have a healer but I do not. I'm not sure anyone actually has any healing spells.

you use tactics and set him so if health <25% or health <%10 then take poultice. I quite like messing with the tactics.

I always like swooping between them in the middle of the battle and doing it manually. There's an immense satisfaction in cueing up cone of cold/ below the belt/ stonefist and Mighty Blow. Release trigger; enemies freeze; enemies all get shattered.

My character's a rogue, so traps and poisons are kind of my thing. It's sometimes tricky to get enemies to wander into your traps, and most of the time you're being ambushed by them, so it's hard to plan ahead. It's satisfying when it work - setting a freeze trap, getting everyone to line up with ranged weapons, drawing and enemy out and then hammering him with arrows, but there aren't many opportunities.
But! Grenades and bombs also count as traps and they are splendid fun to use. I don't leave home now without a bunch of flasks for my soulrot bombs, shock bombs and freezebombs.
Poisons, meanwhile, are a good damage buff - especially if you have your mage using Affliction Hex.
