It doesn't seem to matter much anyway - judging by the current roar of indifference no-one on the forum seems to care one way or the other whether or not you broke kovacs's face, were willing to lie about it or whether the whole thing's just his lies designed to demonize you.

I guess this means we can just beat the fucking shit out of other forites with impunity. I wonder if there would have been more reaction if Roy had belted a female member of the forum - or someone more popular than Kovacs is... Dang, for example.
Perhaps people are jaded: maybe you have to at least sexually assault someone before eyebrows are raised and objections made.

NOT SUCH A HARD MAN NOW. Forum alpha 'Black Mask' feels a taste of Roy's murderous temper. Says a tearful Mask: "He was like a wild man! I thought he was a pal but look at me! Look at what he did to my face!"Posts: 8657

Hush now, DrB. I don't think Roy really beat up Kovacs. It's just one of his cries for attention. Roy lives on an oil rig in the Atlantic. Or something.

Neither do I. I got smashed at a private members club in Shaftesbury Ave yesterday and blacked out until nearly midnight, when I regained consciousness as the train pulled into a freezing Leeds station, and I found myself surrounded by the remains of a meal I couldn't recall eating.
You know the episode of Family Guy where they all take Ipecac as part of a wager of some kind? It was like that.

I remember having some kind of online conversation with Roy, and the discussion turned to whether or not he was going to attend a meet. I was pressuringhim into going, and then he starts saying that he's really rough. I thought he just meant he was a bit unkempt but now I think about it, I'm pretty sure he was more or less threatening me.

I got smacked in the face by a friend from college once. Several times in fact. We were really quite drunk, and he spat beer at me, so I spat beer back at him. He said "If you do that again I'm going to smack you in the face". I laughed and did it again. So he smacked me in the face. I was more shocked than pained, and just kind of sat there gawping, before saying "y-you hit me!" and then he hit me again. Twice in fact, right in the face. It's funny because I've een punched plenty of times but I can't remember it ever actually hurting.
Anyway, this story finishes with me calling him a psycho and leaving. He apologised the next day and said he tends to get a bit violent if drunk. Nicest guy you could ever meet when he's sober.
