Is this new one supposed to be any good or not? I thought the second one was a bit suspect in places.

Frankly, I'd read Moore's used bog-roll and weep at the genius. This new one comes in 3 volumes, one set in the 1920s, one in the 1960s and the last one in 2009. I expect it will be breathtaking.

It's going to be well packed isn't it?
They'll probably have a good few signed copies for sale after the event. I got a Mignola signed Hellboy there a while back.

Word is 'No'. 500 copies. 2 copies per punter. Twitchy nerds as far as the eye can see.

Me too. They've got a 'special relationship' with Mignola. Apparently he used to be a dedicated customer.

might do without it then. They'll be queuing all the way up the steps of the British Museum, which is kind of fitting I suppose.

1. I'm wearing a long sleeved blue top, blue jeans and couple of these:

 -

2. I had a chocolate and caramel flapjack and an instant coffee for breakfast. The coffee was made with 50% Kenco Really Smooth and 50% Kenco Really Rich, so I'm not sure if it was both rich and smooth, or neither if they cancel each other out. Lunch will be a chicken and swine sandwich from the Baker's Oven.

3. Going to get up early tomorrow and venture into the country to take some photos.

4. I watched Flash Gordon again the other day. I was inspired to do so after seeing a chap who looked just like Brian Blessed parking his car outside my flat.

5. Listening to Guns n Roses' Appetite for Destruction and remembering the time my dad told me I was never allowed to listen to 'this filth' again after my eleven year old self put it in the car tape player during a family holiday. Hearing the lyrics of Anything Goes again, I'm beginning to understand why.

I was completely clueless about G'n'R lyrics when I was 11. All I knew was that I had been waiting just over a decade to hear music like that.

1. Wearing the same shit as ever. T-shirt, cargo, boots.

2. Going out for lunch with my wife and daughter.

3. Bunch of folk coming up from that London for the weekend.

4. Watched the end of Battlestar Galactica Series 3. Had been really solid up until the ludicrous trial episodes, and then fell apart completely, as though everyone involved in the show had been simultaneously lobotomised.

5. Listening to Who Are You by The Who. There's an Oxfam on the same road I work on, and someone had clearly dumped a dead relative's collection of Vinyl in there recently and yesterday was payday, so I raided the place. Also picked up Quadrophenia, Dark Side of the Moon, Rubber Soul, Best of Dr Hook and a Jesus and mary Chain ep. May go back today for the Deep Purple and Led Zep stuff they had.

Despite the temptation to self-administer a caesarian simply to bring an end to the overinflated football feeling, daughter will be chiefing off what I eat via umbilicus as usual.

You jest, but I thought My Michelle was about a failed stand up comedian because I misheard 'Do your coke for free' as 'Do your joke for free'. I assumed 'Driving your friends crazy with your life's insanity' was like... they knew she had some talent and thought she should make more of an effort to get paid for her work.

I thought it was about people helping each other out [Frown] Because of:

"If you got no money honey, we got your disease"; in other words they both share the disease of poverty. Christ this is bad. And he offers her anything she wants anyway, because he's a nice guy. Er. I thought the song was about sharing.

YOU SEE? THIS IS WHY I WANK ON ABOUT PROPER STEREO EQUIPMENT! SO THIS KIND OF THING DOESN'T EVER HAPPEN AGAIN! I WAS LISTENING TO THIS ON A SONY BOOMBOX! WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? I'M BOUND TO MISS SOME OF THE SUBTLETIES!

An easy mistake to make about a band dedicated to feeding elephants at the zoo.

I thought the Final Countdown was a prophetic vision of the future in which Channel 4 no longer has its flagship Teatime Numbers'n'Consonants Quiz Show. Brrrrrr.

Oh no, hang on, The Final Countdown wasn't on Appetite for Destruction was it?
Was it on Living On A Prayer?

You might be thinking of their second(?) album. Where they were really quite unpleasant to the ever-smiling Scouse captain of Question of Sport?

Pia's gone away camping with her friends and I got asked if I wanted to go but because... I don't know, well I wasn't asked for any money or anything and then it was decided I wasn't going in the end so I end up this weekend free.

I've planned to play computer games alllllll weekend (apart from Sunday when I'll be going to watch some \m/ with Physic) but fucking hell, look how gorgeous the weather is out there. I think I might get around to waxing some picture frames and mounting the pictures within. Pick up some nails from B&Q and hang them up. Throw out some old shit I don't need and generally have a bit of a tidy up. Actually I have a wheelchair that belongs to St Heliers hospital. I might wheel it up there and run back. Maybe take a walk down to the ponds and get some fresh bread on Saturday morning. Some OJ and sit in the park reading the paper or something. I've been trying to cofigure a dual boot on my Dell laptop but it's apparent the DVD drive hasn't worked since it was first bought so I might go to Croydon and get it repaired/replaced.

Monday, going to see if I can help my mate get his drivers sorted on linux. yay!

See if you can find a cripple / elder who needs a lift to the hospital.
